All around the world, the increase in emergency situations, and in natural and man-made disasters, has required the integration of mental health interventions into the overall coordination and management in such situations. The Montreal WHO/PAHO-CC has been involved in supporting mental health care in several countries in the Caribbean and American region. Here are six projects we are involved in:

• Project 1: Manual on Mental Health in Disasters
• Project 2: Involvement with in the process of intervention in natural disasters in the subregion
  
• Project 3: Training mental health professionals from Haiti post-earthquake
• Project 4: Lectures in 2012 and 2013 for the Haiti Medical Education project
• Project 5: Training in mental health within Haiti Universities
