On october 1 the Wellington Center celebrated its 15th Anniversary, in an event attended by the Director General of the Douglas Institute, Lynne MVey, as well as many community partners and a large number of participants in the Wellington community.

Almost a hundred people were present to celebrate the center, known internationally for its application of the supported employment model. The center is the reference for training in this approach, training which has been given to our francophone partners in Quebec as well as Europe.

Duringng the last fifteen years, the center has helped more than a thousand people along their path to recovery. During the celebration, Anne Hibbard gave a touching account of her many years of participation at the center. The program of the center plays an important role in her life and in the lives of hundreds of people, helping them to maintain their recovery outside of the hospital setting.
