Mental Health: History, Current Challenges and Future Prospects
2008-09-09
The Douglas Mental Health University Institute is pleased to announce its program for the 2008 Mini-Psych School. This third edition will spark the interest of anyone wanting to learn more about the history of psychiatry, better understand the current challenges in mental health, or discover what neuroscience research holds for the treatment and prevention of mental illness.
“As in our previous seasons, we again have the privilege of welcoming an exceptional team of Douglas experts who have agreed to give lectures at the Mini-Psych School,” said Camillo Zacchia, Professionnal Chief of Psychology at the Douglas and Supervisor of the 2008 season. “This year, we revamped the Mini-Psych School program to give participants a unique opportunity to reflect on topics of current interest in mental health, particularly by learning from the past so that we can look towards the future.”
