The Douglas Mental Health University Institute is about to collaborate in an important partnership to broaden understanding of the human brain.

In the context of an international agreement, researchers, students and professors working at the Douglas Institute will join forces with their counterparts at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI), McGill University and University of Oxford to combine their expertise in neuroscience. Joint research and grant applications, student and faculty exchanges are among the key elements of this partnership.

Research at the Douglas

For the last thirty years, the Douglas Research Centre has made a name for itself. Today, the Centre can rely on the dedicated and rigorous work of 67 researchers and clinicians and of 184 students. It represents the largest centre in mental health research in Quebec and the second one in Canada. Its teams of specialists and researchers continually advance scientific knowledge about mental illnesses, develop new treatments and diagnostic tools as well as identify measures to help prevent mental health problems.
