The Mini-Psych School at the Douglas Institute has the answer.

Take your listeners, readers and TV viewers on an exploration through the ten main myths surrounding mental illness—myths that are all too often the cause of false perceptions and prejudice against those who suffer from mental illness.

Mini Psych School – A Fourth Edition
This year, the Douglas Mental Health University Institute will educate those participating in the 4th edition of the Mini-Psych School about mental illness while helping them explore – and dispel – the myths surrounding mental illness that persist to this day.

"In reality, people who suffer from mental illness are more likely to be the victims of violence than to be violent themselves," explained Joseph Rochford, PhD, who will supervise and lead this 4th edition. "Our team of Mini-Psych professors, made up of Douglas clinicians and researchers, will present the facts about mental illness through a diverse and renewed program."
