It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce that Amparo Garcia and Jean-Bernard Trudeau, MD, have received awards of recognigion for their exceptional professional contributions.

In Québec City last Thursday evening, Amparo Garcia,Clinical-Administrative Director, Clinical Activities, Knowledge Transfer and Teaching, received the award of excellence Hector-L-Bertrand in the Hope category, given by the Association des cadres supérieurs de la santé et des services sociaux.

That same evening, in Montreal, Jean-Bernard Trudeau, MD, Director, Professional and Hospital Services, received the Physicians of Heart and Action award from the Association des médecins de langue française du Canada.

These serendipitous events allow the Douglas Institute to gain well-deserved recognition for its sustained efforts to raise the bar in mental health excellence.
