The WHO has undertaken to revise, after more than 2 decades, the diagnostic tool it is responsible for producing in order to facilitate the cumulating of global statistics on morbidity and mortality, and permit global healthcare planning for member states. The process is aimed to be inclusive, transparent, and globally representative.
The Montreal CC has had several meetings with the WHO and PAHO, as well as with other WHO-CCs about possible contributions to this process. The two projects are:
- Project 1: Francophone Revision of the ICD
- Project 2: Service user input into the ICD revision
