On May 3, at the Association des professionnels de la santé en milieu de travail (APST) convention, the Institute received the Altius prize given by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec as a part of its Heart at Work Program.

These prizes are awarded to recognize the efforts of companies that have truly distinguished themselves through their concrete interventions to promote the cardiovascular health of employees. The winning establishments also stand out because they promote healthy lifestyle habits in the workplace by encouraging healthy nutrition and regular physical activity.

The initiatives of the "Healthy Douglas Club" made it possible for Douglas Institute to claim the Silver Altius Award in the "Large Enterprise" category. The Douglas stood out because of the originality of its project, its implementation, the involvement of Senior Management, member participation and employee satisfaction.
We wish to extend our thanks to the members of the Institute's Health and Wellbeing Committee as well as to all the employees who participate in the Club's activities and events.
