Clinical Internships

The Institute welcomes many students across various clinical disciplines at the professional, college, and university levels.

Nearly 250 interns per year come from McGill University, as well as other Québec, Canadian and international universities.

Primary Disciplines

Nursing

More than 100 interns per year at the college and university level (undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate).

Psychology

Particular focus on the reception of psychology interns.

Program recognized by the American Psychology Association as a member of the McGill Psychology Internship Consortium.

Social Work

More than 30 students each year, mostly undergraduates from the McGill School of Social Work and other Québec universities.

Occupational Therapy

Second- and third-year students from McGill University.

Program recognized by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.

Criminology

The Institute welcomes several criminology interns. They mainly work in the forensic psychiatry unit.
