Library and Documentation Services

The mission of the Charles Cahn Library is to collect, seek out and share source reliable, up-to-date information to support clinical practice, innovation, teaching and research at the Institute. The library is part of the Scientific and Medical Documentation Service of the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal.

The library houses nearly 12 000 documents, including a unique and extensive collection specializing in mental health and psychiatry. It also provides its clients with access to databases and some of the most renowned journals in the field of health and social services.

Our Team

Its knowledgeable team, which includes a documentation technician and a librarian, provides information, documentation and reference services to the entire Institute community, which includes researchers, nurses, psychiatrists, students, residents and interns.
