The unit provides specialized services to individuals aged 18 and older with complex mood disorders. The goal is to stabilize the individual and promote optimal functioning so that they can return to the community and continue to live independently.
Services are offered following a visit to the emergency or through a transfer from a psychiatric inpatient unit within the CIUSSS de-l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal.
Services include:
- Assessments
- Symptom stabilization
- Comprehensive health check-up and lab tests
- Pharmacotherapy
- Mental health education
- Psychotherapy
- Psychosocial counselling
- Treatment completion and discharge planning
The team consists of psychiatrists, general practitioners, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and patient attendants.
