SICA coordinates mental health clinical activities for adults aged 18 and over living in Eeyou Istchee and Nunavik. Its goal is to ensure the smooth coordination of psychiatric transfers and hospitalizations by making sure that all the staff members involved understand and follow the established procedures. This service works within a cultural safety framework, in close collaboration with the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSBJ) and the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services (NRBHSS).
Accessible to residents of Nunavik and Eeyou Istchee.
The team consists of psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses.
