Psychosocial Rehabilitation Unit  

The unit offers specialized care for people aged 65 and over with severe and complex mental health problems who require a long-term rehabilitation program. Its aim is to help them reintegrate into the community, while considering the severity of the psychiatric disorders and disruptive behaviours. 

Services are offered to people following a stay at the Short-Term Patient Unit. 

Services include: 

  • Assessments 
  • Mental and physical rehabilitation
  • Medical and psychiatric follow-ups 
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Psychosocial counselling
  • Individual and group psychotherapy

The team consists of geriatric psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, patient attendants, social workers, occupational therapists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, and administrative staff.
