The inpatient unit offers specialized services to adults aged 18 and over with severe medical and psychological complications related to an eating disorder, or for whom outpatient treatment has proved insufficient to alleviate symptoms. Admission requires that individuals voluntarily agree to work toward changing their eating behaviours. The aim is to stabilize the person’s medical and psychological condition, while promoting long-term rehabilitation, in an environment offering intensive 24-hour supervision. 

A referral from a healthcare professional is usually required. The referral must be sent by fax: 514-888-4085. 

Services include: 

  • Assessments  
  • Mental health education (particularly on medication)
  • Nutritional counselling
  • Mealtime support group
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Coordination and liaison to ensure service continuity   
  • Support connecting with community resources

The team consists of psychiatrists, nurses, patient attendants, human relations officers, and administrative staff.
