The TIBD program is for adults aged 18 and over experiencing a decline in mental health and daily functioning that requires urgent intervention. The program ranges from 8 to 12 weeks, with visit frequency that is based on the person’s mental health needs — from several visits per day to two or three per week.

Its goal is to stabilize mental health, support recovery, and promote a positive care experience. This program offers an intensive, high-quality alternative to hospitalization, prioritizing the individual’s ability to remain in their living environment and community.

Access to services requires a referral from a psychiatrist or a specialized nurse practitioner in mental health (IPS-SM). The team is available Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., by phone or email for referral requests or information.

Services include:

  • Assessments
  • Weekly psychiatric follow-up
  • Pharmacotherapy
  • Direct supervision of medication administration
  • Psychosocial interventions
  • Orientation, coordination, and liaison to ensure continuity of care

The care team consists of nurses, psychiatrists, social workers, specialized educators, human relations officers, and pharmacists.
